We recently stayed at Hillocks Cottage and had a fantastic time. The location was perfect for exploring the Derby dales, and we enjoyed many beautiful walks in the surrounding countryside. The cottage itself was cozy and comfortable, with comfortable sofas and beds. We especially loved the quaint and quirky atmosphere of the cottage, it had so much character. The kitchen was well-equipped with everything we needed, and the heating was easy to operate and kept us warm throughout our stay. The towels and linen provided were of good quality, and the cottage had been cleaned to a high standard. We also appreciated the comprehensive information booklet provided. we highly recommend Hillocks Cottage for a memorable stay in the area.
One small drawback was that the stairs in the cottage were quite creaky and noisy. This didn't affect us much, but it might be something to consider for families with young children who go to bed early.
