The cottage had all necessary amenities, with a well-equipped kitchen and cozy lounge. Great value for money, located in a quiet countryside setting but just a short drive to Ashbourne. Larger than expected, with comfortable furniture and two toilets. A lovely touch was the welcome basket and stocked fridge upon arrival.

I recently stayed at a lovely cottage in a quaint village and had a wonderful time. The location was amazing, surrounded by peaceful countryside but still just a short drive away from all the amenities in Ashbourne. The cottage itself was cozy, with comfortable furniture and a warm atmosphere. I particularly loved the thoughtful welcome tray that was waiting for us upon arrival. Additionally, there were plenty of things to see and do in the local area, and we even enjoyed a delicious meal at the nearby pub, The Red Lion. I had a fantastic stay at this beautiful cottage and would highly recommend it to others.

Felt like home, nothing was too much trouble.

We recently stayed at Hillocks Cottage and had a fantastic time. The location was perfect for exploring the Derby dales, and we enjoyed many beautiful walks in the surrounding countryside. The cottage itself was cozy and comfortable, with comfortable sofas and beds. We especially loved the quaint and quirky atmosphere of the cottage, it had so much character. The kitchen was well-equipped with everything we needed, and the heating was easy to operate and kept us warm throughout our stay. The towels and linen provided were of good quality, and the cottage had been cleaned to a high standard. We also appreciated the comprehensive information booklet provided. we highly recommend Hillocks Cottage for a memorable stay in the area.

One small drawback was that the stairs in the cottage were quite creaky and noisy. This didn't affect us much, but it might be something to consider for families with young children who go to bed early.
